SALVATION

WHAT IS SALVATION?

Salvation in the dictionary is defined as: preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss. But when it comes to being saved by Jesus it runs much deeper than that! The kind of salvation Jesus offers concerns eternal and spiritual salvation.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

What Are We saved from?

God loves us so much that He wants all of us to be saved from sin because He knows the result of sin is death. He sent His Son Jesus as a gift of eternal life so we can have victory over eternal death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We can’t save ourselves. It doesn’t matter how much good we do, how much money we give to charities, it doesn’t even matter if we’ve never been arrested and went to jail, we cannot save ourselves from sin. God knew we wouldn’t be able to save ourselves so He sent His only Son to receive the punishment we deserved.
