Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things..Philippians 4:8
There’s a lot of things to think about these days. And most of what we rest our minds on distracts us from things we really need to think about. A change in our thought pattern would refocus what we think or meditate on every day. Changing what we think about can be a tremendous blessing.
It’s up to us to go to the source of peace in our thought patterns.
When we think about things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of a good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy we will begin to feel peace in our lives. Our minds can’t comprehend the peace we will have when we think about good things (Philippians 4:7). I mean it makes sense right? Think about troubling and sinful things all day or think about the things of God and holiness all day. It’s up to us to go to the source of peace in our thought patterns.
