“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven”.

Matthew 7:21

There are a lot of outward expressions of faith in the world today. It’s sad to say that some of these expressions don’t match the actions of the person. The only one who can see the content of the heart is God. We’re reminded in 1 Samuel 16:7 that

“man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart.”

We might be able to fool the people around us, but we cannot fool God. He will not be mocked (Galatians 6:7). There will be many people who will say Lord didn’t I do this and that in your name on the day of judgment, but because the heart was far from the will and word of God, many will have to depart from His Holy Presence.

What we do for the Kingdom of God has to be directly connected with faith and obedience in God’s word while we do our deeds. We have to make sure we’re not doing it for show, or to be recognized. Let what we do for the Father be real and out of adoration for Him.
