Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:6-7
There are a lot of things happening around us. Nearly everything has become questionable. People in positions of authority are questionable. People’s motives have become questionable. Even the people and the things that we’ve placed our trust in in the past has caught our attention, and at times we may even question them as well.
What we don’t want to do is let what is questionable cause us to become questionable about our faith in the Lord. We have to remember to pray, be thankful and let God know what is troubling us. In doing so, we will experience a peace that’s hard to understand. What kind of peace is hard to understand?
The peace of God, which He gives to the ones who trust and call on His name, is beyond all of our understanding. With God, we can have a peace that transcends anything known on this earth. Even we will marvel at how this peace will keep us during times when we should be running in circles with fear.
This peace will guard our hearts from being hardened and keep our minds intact when chaos erupts all around us. Isaiah 26:3 declares: You (God) will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Don’t be anxious, fearful or doubtful during these trying times. Pray to the one who can deliver peace that’s astounding and beyond our understanding.
